Strictly’s, Debbie McGee, first celeb to receive perfect score

Strictly Come Dancing history was made last night when Debbie McGee and her dance partner Giovanni Pernice’s scored a perfect 40 in week 7. Never before has any celebrity achieved a perfect score at this stage of the competition.

The 59 year old wowed the judges with her fierce and fiery tango and Craig Revel Horwood even left his judging seat to worship Debbie and dance partner Giovanni’s performance.

Debbie and Giovanni are now front runners in the competition and it could be the first year where an older contestant lifts the glitter ball trophy. Debbie has been consistent throughout the competition and has now topped the leader board twice. For every person over 50 who wishes they had learnt to dance, Debbie is an inspiration and is really demonstrating that age is not a barrier to giving a dance a chance.
