It is not every day that you have the opportunity to be taught dance from a professional ballerina, but Xpress-Yourself Keep Dancing Moseley class at St Agnes Church Hall were joined by two ballerinas from the Birmingham Royal Ballet. The dancers, Rosanna Ely and Lynsey Sutherland taught our dancers BRB Repertoire from La La Fille Mal Gardee.
One of the dances taught from La Fille Mal Gardee was the chicken dance which was great fun to learn as you can watch on the video below.
‘I couldn’t do it they are amazing so nibble and light it was AMAZING’
Both dancers were very friendly and approachable and happy to answer questions about the life of a ballerina and even shared a few backstage secrets.
‘The dancers in costume showed us ballet steps which we had fun trying to copy. Afterwards the dancers answered our many questions. We all thoroughly enjoyed the workshop.’
Dancers also had a few photographs taken with the ballerinas,in costume definitely photos for the album.
