What a wonderful afternoon of dancing, socialising, and singing! A huge thank you to everyone who came along and helped make the event so special.

A huge thank you to Edgbaston NNS, who generously contributed funding towards the event.

We’d like to apologise for the parking situation. When we booked the venue, we were advised that more spaces would be available, and we’re very grateful for your patience and understanding.

The dances included our December warm-up, a samba to Let It Snow, a revisit of the popular line dance House of Bamboo, a ceilidh Virginia Reel to Jingle Bells, and our Christmas partner dance to The Most Wonderful Time of the Year in which there were a lot of laughs as we whirled around the floor .A festive merengue to Walking in a Winter Wonderland!

Catching a star with you all is so special. Each of you catches your star at different times during the week, but at an event like this party, you all catch your stars together—and that makes it truly special. ✨

We’re always on the lookout for the perfect venue to host these events—somewhere central(ish) to Birmingham—so please do let us know if you’re aware of any suitable venues.

All the leftover food was taken to the local homeless shelter.

Xpress-Yourself Dance CIC run weekly Keep Dancing classes, suitable for older adults across, Birmingham, Solihull, Walsall, Sandwell and online. Keep Dancing will teach you dances from around the world with no need for a dance partner. Find your nearest Keep Dancing class here.
