Terrific Together in Time Tea Dance – 17/11/2025

Take a delve into our scrapbook blog from our first Together in Time Tea Dance…

Together in Time

On Monday, 17th November 2025, we held our first Together in Time Tea Dance at Quinton Methodist Church. What an amazing afternoon we had filled with dancing, laughing and chatting as well as some glorious cream tea!

A huge thank you to our generous funders from Birmingham City Council and Edgbaston NNS, whose generosity has allowed our Together in Time Tea Dances to be free for our amazing dancers, their friends family and our wider community.

Here is some amazing dancers learning moves off of Faye,

During the Tea Dance the group learnt:

  • Two line dances one to ‘House of Bamboo’ and one to ‘Red Hot Salsa’
  • Country Dances including Virginia real,
  • Foxtrot to ‘ain’t that a kick in the head’

After all that dancing, it was time for our lovely dancers to enjoy some tea and scones!

The Together in Time tea dance was an opportunity for people from all walks of life to connect and share their passion for dancing with one another.  This inclusive event welcomes people living with dementia, their carers, family, and friends to enjoy gentle dancing, live music, and a delicious afternoon tea in a relaxed and supportive setting.

Here is what our brilliant Tea Dancers had to say about the event:’

‘Thanks Faye and az for a brilliant afternoon so good to meet up with dancers from other groups. Good to learn new steps as well as ones we have done before ‘

‘Had a really lovely afternoon of fun and dance and a lovely cream tea too’

‘Wonderful afternoon of music and dance, chatted to new friends, it was better than staying at home’
