Online dance classes

Online dance classes – Why do people still choose to participate in online dance classes?

Online dance class became popular during Lockdown as a way to keep fit maintain sanity and connect with others during the long monotonous days .However since lockdowns have come to an end (thank goodness!) online classes are still popular.

Online dance classes are great for those who continue to work from home and want to make time in their day to connect with others and release the feel good endorphins to keep themselves motivated for the rest of their working day, increasing productivity. Online dance classes are also great for those with caring responsibilities and so people do not have to find additional care for their loved one or friend whilst they have time to dance.

Remember too, how important  keeping active is to remaining fit and healthy both for body and mind, especially during the winter months when it is sometimes more difficult to get out and about. As Winter takes hold and days get shorter and darker, coming to class is a great way to lift the spirits and to keep active in a friendly and supportive group. This might also be a good time to consider joining an online dance class, as well as attending in person so that should the weather make travel risky, you could still keep active with others.

Our online dance classes – Keep Dancing classes are suitable for older adults over 50 and now run on a Wednesday and Friday. Keep Dancing classes are low impact dance classes where you’ll learn different styles of dance from around the world with no need for a partner. Keep Dancing promotes healthy ageing and encourages you to maintain your independence with different dances, exercises and music each month. So whether you are a complete beginner or you have danced before, Keep Dancing is the perfect class for you.

Our Friday classes is referred to as our Greatest Hits class a which provides opportunity to revisit popular dances and certainly does give you those feel good Friday vibes. Both classes are delivered by our friendly, enthusiastic professional dance teachers on Zoom. (Find out more about how to use Zoom here ).

Our Keep Dancing classes continue to keep people fit and connected with other people and of course keeping the brain engaged learning all our different dance steps. You should know that our Keep Dancing classes have been coined Keep Dancing Karaoke as often people enjoy singing along as they dance knowing that they are on mute.

Great time yesterday, I so miss being with the other dancers but Zoom dancing is really good, still having plenty of laughs and stretching my brain power, thanks so much for your classes.
