In 2013, Xpress‑Yourself Dance CIC launched Keep Dancing, a welcoming and inclusive programme of dance classes for over 60s. Since then, these friendly community dance classes have helped hundreds of older adults across Birmingham, Solihull, and Walsall stay active, meet new people, and rediscover the joy of movement and music.
Whether you’re completely new to dance or a regular dancer, Keep Dancing classes for over 60s are designed to be enjoyable, accessible, and inclusive for all abilities.
Friendly Dance Classes Designed for Older Adults
Our dance classes for over 60s are specifically tailored to suit a wide range of mobility and fitness levels. Many participants join to maintain independence, improve balance and coordination, and enjoy the physical and social benefits of dance.

Thanks to generous funding from the National Lottery Community Fund – Reaching Communities, new participants can try their first six Keep Dancing classes for over 60s for just £12. This makes it easier than ever to experience the fun, social, and physical benefits of dance.

What to expect
Keep Dancing starts with a gentle low impact warm up. You will learn two different dances each month from Bhangra to Bossa Nova, Charleston to Cha Cha, Jazz to Jive, Line dance to Lindy Hop, Salsa to Samba and Tap to Tango.
Once you have learnt new dances you will enjoy a cool down that will include a few gentle stretches to popular music.
All of our classes learn the same routines at the same time so that if you can’t make one class you are always welcome to visit another Keep Dancing class, so you never miss a step.
There is nothing like dancing and we would love to have you join us .
