Burns Night is traditionally a Scottish celebration, celebrating the life of Scottish Poet, Robert Burns. Whilst traditions such as reading Burns poetry, eating haggis and drinking whiskey are part of the celebration as an activity coordinator working in a care home you may be looking for additional activities to keep your residents entertained.
Why not make your own Scottish flag bunting or Scottish flag placements getting your residents to colour or paint and then laminating afterwards.

Enjoy reading Burns poetry, perhaps you could write your residents could write their own Burns inspired poem. Click here for Burns poetry catalogue.
Or maybe you might want to get your residents dancing and enjoy learning and dancing a seated Highland Dance inspired routine, choreographed with older adults in mind.
